BIM Engineer & Audiovisual/IT Design Consultant - #1740382

An internationally recognised multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a BIM Engineer & Audiovisual/IT Design Consultant to join their London-based team. This is a hybrid role that blends technical design expertise with the opportunity to grow into consultancy or leadership, depending on the candidate’s career goals. The position is ideal for professionals with 3–5 years’ experience in the AEC or AV systems integration sectors.

Role Summary:You’ll be responsible for producing technical drawings in Revit and AutoCAD for a wide range of projects in sectors such as Corporate Interiors, Hospitality, Legal, Higher Education, Healthcare, Transportation, and Government. During the first 18 months, the focus will be on delivering drawn documentation, while gradually developing consultancy skills. Long-term career paths include progressing into a lead AV/IT Consultant or leading a team of BIM Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed AV/IT system drawings using AutoCAD and Revit

• Assist with all phases of project design and technical documentation

• Conduct equipment research and prepare system specifications

• Perform site surveys and help prepare client-facing documents

• Contribute to QA/QC procedures to maintain high design standards

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including AV, IT, Security, Acoustics, and Medical Equipment Planning

• Support coordination with architects, contractors, and stakeholders

• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to ensure best-in-class solutions

• Travel may be required (5–10%, both domestic and international)

Experience and Skills Required:

• 3–5 years of experience in AV/IT design, engineering, or systems integration

• Degree in Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field preferred

• Strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite

• Familiarity with low/high voltage systems and AV/IT technologies

• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, organised approach

• Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment

• CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification is a plus
