Your Role

Business Technology is Capgemini Invent’s technology consulting and transformation advisory practice. Within Business Technology, our Digital Acceleration team focuses on helping our clients to deliver technology transformation programmes for business value, and optimise the effectiveness and impact of their IT capability.

We are looking to hire a Director into Digital Acceleration to help sell and deliver large-scale transformation programmes and grow the Business Technology portfolio into our clients.

As a Director, you will be responsible for selling and delivering our Business Technology transformation programme services, working cross-sector in close collaboration with our industry teams. You will build relevant senior client relationships, help Capgemini Invent become a trusted advisor, and identify and create new opportunities to support our clients.

You will play a leadership role in our wider business, helping set the direction, driving forward the business, modelling our values and behaviours, and coaching junior members of the team.

Key expectations from this role include:

  • Working collaboratively as part of the Capgemini Invent Business Technology leadership teams to drive market growth.
  • In particular, driving our Digital Acceleration offerings, tools and assets into the market, including large programme transformation delivery and CIO advisory.
  • Capitalising on relationships already developed with large clients, and building new routes into senior clients. Identifying and building a strong network of client contacts responsible for consulting/advisory programmes, and extending our relationships with them as clients of Capgemini Invent.
  • Taking the role of Programme Leader, and overseeing the delivery of Capgemini Invent engagements with major clients.

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc

Your Profile

Ideally you’ll bring:

  • Strong experience of shaping transformation programmes leveraging the following capabilities: strategy and operating model, technology advisory, technology delivery, technology-enabled business transformation.
  • Deep expertise in leading and delivering large-scale technology transformation programmes, including solution shaping, senior stakeholder management up to CXO level, complex issue resolution, management of third parties and external partners, and delivery of business benefits through technology.
  • A proven track record in new business development across the full sales lifecycle. Utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network, you’ll be generating c.£2m of consulting revenues.
  • Experience of developing relationships with senior level clients and acting as their trusted advisor for transformation.

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong management consulting experience with proven success.
  • Experience and evidence of thought leadership and a recognised reputation in the market.
  • Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Credibility and personal impact – being driven, dynamic, tenacious and possessing the will to win and deliver results.
  • Versatility, with a collaborative style, empathetic in nature, confident in content and focused on outcomes at all levels in the client organisation.
  • Currently working in a major consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a consulting background.
  • Experience of proposition building and delivery.
