Job Summary
The Communication Manager manages all public relations and marketing activities of Dragados in UK & Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
Communication Responsibilities:
- Manage all public relations activities including creating a strong industry network, increase awareness of and develop a corporate image and brand
- Raise the profile of the business in UK and Ireland
- Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics
- Develop a media relations strategy for print, broadcast, and online media
- Strengthen and further develop both internal and external communications
- Build on existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
- Manage media enquiries and interview requests
- Create content for press releases, articles, and presentations
- Monitor, analyse and communicate PR outputs
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an on-going basis
- Maintain an understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make recommendations regarding communication strategy
- Collaboration in communication areas within ACS Group companies
- Support Dragados Spain with the R & D Newsletter and the annual report to ACS
- Sharing knowledge, expertise, understanding, perspective, and contacts with colleagues in projects or the Business Development department.
- Prepare the Dragados UK periodic Newsletter
Innovation Responsibilities: (Initial responsibilities – will be reallocated in the future)
- Analysing Dragados' corporate eligibility for claiming R&D relief and the applicability of the Business, Enterprise, and Industrial Strategy ("BEIS") Guidelines, which define R&D for tax purposes, about Dragados's technology field.
- Create a tracker with a list of projects during the relevant accounting periods' R&D activities. Categorising qualifying categories of expenditure.
Qualifications, Certifications And Experience
- Have a good understanding and experience in Construction sector
- Have working communication skills in English (both written and verbal) and be able to report at Management level
- Educated to degree or higher level or equivalent
- Relevant experience as Communication Manager in Construction Sector.
- Computer skills associated to the role – Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, photo editing software, publishing software.
