About The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Echocardiographer to join our multidisciplinary team in London. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, independent echocardiographic assessments using our advanced diagnostic equipment. You will be responsible for performing and interpreting transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs), providing immediate and accurate reports without the need for cardiologist oversight.

About The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Echocardiographer to join our multidisciplinary team in London. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, independent echocardiographic assessments using our advanced diagnostic equipment. You will be responsible for performing and interpreting transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs), providing immediate and accurate reports without the need for cardiologist oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive transthoracic echocardiographic examinations in accordance with British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) standards.
- Independently interpret and report echocardiographic findings, ensuring timely delivery of results to clients and referring clinicians.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to integrate echocardiographic findings into holistic health assessments.
- Participate in regular cardiology multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Liaise directly with our cardiologist where needed.
- Understand and follow our escalation protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including audit and peer review, to maintain high standards of practice.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the training of junior staff or students as appropriate.
- BSE Level 2 Transthoracic Echocardiography Accreditation or equivalent, enabling independent reporting of echocardiographic studies without cardiologist review.
- More than two years experience post BSE level 2 accreditation.
- Proven experience in performing and interpreting a wide range of echocardiographic studies. Ability to perform Global Longitudinal Strain (GLS is essential).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Commitment to maintaining high clinical standards and engaging in ongoing professional development.
- Ability to perform 3D imaging.
- Dual qualified as an Accredited Vascular Scientist (AVS) by the Society of Vascular Technology, enabling independent reporting of vascular ultrasound.
- Familiarity with integrating echocardiographic data into broader health assessments or preventive health strategies.
- Previous involvement in health technology initiatives or research projects.
