As a rapidly growing business, we are hiring for a new and exciting venue concept in the heart of Spitalfields Market. As a Kitchen Porter, you'll play a pivotal role in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes! You'll take full ownership of the KP area and waste rooms, ensuring everything is organised, efficient, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Alongside this, you’ll be a vital part of the Kitchen Team, making sure that glasses, utensils, and equipment are spotless and ready for action. You’ll help maintain the high operational standards set by KERB and the venue management team, keeping the back-of-house areas in top shape. This role is on a rota basis, covering all exciting trading periods at the venue.
What you'll be doing
- Daily set up & shut down of the KP area inline with company standards & daily checklists
- Full accountability of washing/drying/polishing & replenishing all:
- Equipment, pots & utensils
- Venue serviceware & cutlery
- Venue Glassware
- Maintaining the venue's recycling procedures in-line with KERB’s sustainability initiatives and disposing of waste in the correct places
- Exemplary organisational and cleanliness standards
- Waste management
- Weekly deep cleaning jobs
- Ensure proper use of recycling & food waste systems
- Ensure good communication and maintain professional relationships with peers
- The ability to manage tasks effectively and adapt to different situations, with a focus on problem-solving and creative thinking.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-demand environments.
- A passion for delivering outstanding hospitality and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ease in engaging with guests and team members.
- Previous experience in hospitality is an advantage but not essential.
