We are looking for a Pricing Analyst, based in London.

Your Team

The Global Natural Ressources and Construction Pricing team is part of the Chief Underwriting Office at Allianz Commercial and is responsible for understanding Allianz’s portfolios and their performance and for ensuring the pricing tools are calibrated to secure Allianz’s future profitability. You will join an international team located across London, Munich, Bucharest, Chicago and New York.

The Impact You Will Have

The Pricing team drives the global implementation of costing and pricing excellence for all commercial business. The role involves supporting team members, engaging in discussions with business units, and maintaining connections with other Actuarial departments and Group functions. You will provide project support, including documentation and testing of deliverables.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Support the regular deep-dive profitability reviews of the portfolio.
• Develop and maintain pricing tools, in particular this involves refinement of the tools through recalibrations and the development of appropriate statistical pricing methodologies and the development of tool specifications to support IT enhancements.
• Monitor outcomes of the portfolio actions implemented following profitability analyses
• Contribute to pricing projects through data analysis/manipulation using SQL/Python coding
• Support underwriters through Case pricing of the largest and more complex accounts.
  
  

What You’ll Bring To The Role

• Progress towards recognized professional qualification (first Actuarial exams passed) where applicable.
• Finance and Insurance know-how (ideally P&C)
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with great attention to detail
• Experience in the development and data-driven calibrations of pricing tools
• Strong computer and programming skills in, such as, SQL (or similar), VBA, R, Python an advantage
• The ability to utilize AI tools to support day-to-day tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data-driven decision-making is valuable
• Self-motivated / proactive with natural curiosity to ask probing questions and ensure that those questions lead to appropriate action
• Results orientated with a proven track-record of delivering on-time projects and process improvements
• Ability to work in an international / virtual environment
