We’re on the hunt for a Junior Payroll Administrator who’s got a keen eye for detail, thrives under pressure, and genuinely enjoys solving problems (and not just the numerical kind). What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing end-to-end payroll for multiple clients on various pay frequencies (weekly, monthly, etc.)
- Maintaining payroll records and employee data
- Submitting RTI files, and issuing year-end forms (P60s)
- Applying up-to-date knowledge of PAYE/NIC, SMP/SAP, SPP, SSP
- Applying knowledge of pension schemes, auto-enrolment, and salary sacrifice uploads
- Staying ahead of payroll legislation and compliance
- Building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues alike
- Taking initiative to identify and solve issues proactively
- 2+ years of payroll experience (ideally in a bureau environment)
- Confident with payroll systems—experience with Iris Payroll Professional is a bonus, but not essential
- A solid grasp of Microsoft Excel and general IT skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- An excellent understanding of GDPR
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and a love for precision
- A team player with a problem-solving mindset
