Description

AWS is looking for a dedicated, resourceful, and customer obsessed Executive Assistant to support leaders on our Support Team. This role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines while prioritizing and executing on tasks that have an impact across multiple teams, including customers.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced planner and coordinator with the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently, while collaborating with other EAs. The individual in this role must understand business priorities, demonstrate the ability to proactively anticipate needs, drive improvements for a globally dispersed team, and understand handling of confidential information and be trusted to maintain data privacy. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks quickly with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround at times. This role must be able to work successfully in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside the group.

Key job responsibilities

  • Minimum of three years of experience assisting at the executive level in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook is essential, as well as strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio
  • Sound judgment and flexibility in balancing competing priorities, tight deadlines, and keeping people and projects moving on schedule
  • High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the company
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate effectively with remote business units

A day in the life

  • Proactively manage leader calendars with attention to accuracy, detail, and allocation of time to promote productivity; recognizing the need to re-prioritize as appropriate.
  • Organize and manage meetings, off-sites and team-based events.
  • Understand business priorities and proactively look for ways to improve processes to create efficiency and scale for the leadership team, ranging from organizational communication mechanisms to tools to planning meetings.
  • Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on open items to include meeting notes and action items.
  • Support and, at times, manage small to medium projects.
  • Work collaboratively with Executive Assistants throughout the extended team.

About The Team

AWS Support Organization working within the Enterprise Support and Transformation teams that are global.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in senior level leadership support, or experience at Amazon
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Experience with executive level calendar management
  • Experience with domestic or international travel coordination

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
  • Experience managing multiple calendars
