Position Overview

PIMCO is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Finance to join its team in London. This senior leadership position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the asset management industry and business and experience in financial management and planning, regulatory requirements and compliance The successful candidate will oversee all financial activities, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, effective risk management and alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategy to support the regional business and overall firm’s growth and operational objectives
• Actively engage with senior management of the EMEA business, providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive team
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements, budgets and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards
• Identify, assess and mitigate financial risks associated with the firm’s operations and investment activities
• Implement robust internal controls and risk management frameworks
• Serve as key contact for global Finance team leadership
• Lead and mentor the EMEA finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, auditors and regulatory bodies
• Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives effectively to stakeholders
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies within the finance function
• Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance financial reporting and decision-making
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 7-10 years in a leadership role within asset management
• Proven track record of managing financial operations and driving strategic initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to details
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong relationship-management and business judgment skills and experience
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance and best practice in asset management
