Contract type: Full time
Work schedule: Full day
Uswitch
Department: Data & Analytics

Location: London

Description

Hybrid: Tuesdays and Thursdays in our London office by Butlers Wharf, Tower Bridge

At Uswitch, our goal is to be the UK’s favourite way to choose and manage home-life essentials - from broadband and mobiles to energy and insurance. As we continue to grow and expand our services, we are looking for talented individuals who share our passion for making a positive impact on people's lives. If you want to be part of a team that is transforming the way consumers navigate their household services, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

Joining our Marketing Analytics team as a Paid Media Analyst, you’ll play a lead role in optimising performance of paid search, while identifying and scaling opportunities across other paid media channels such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.

You'll work closely with the marketing team and marketing engineers to optimise every pound we spend. The scale of our marketing operation, combined with our agility and bias to action, means your work will have a direct and measurable impact on business performance.

Our ambition? To build a best-in-class customer experience. And you’ll play a leading role in helping us to achieve it by enabling us to understand our customers better, harnessing data and discovering insight across all our touch-points, campaigns and marketing activity.

We Answer Questions Like

  • How do we maximise growth from Paid Search while maintaining profitability?
  • How can we deepen our understanding of our customers to improve their experience with our marketing and reach them effectively across paid media?
  • How do changes in consumer search behaviour signal shifts in demand, and how can we respond faster?

You will be the voice of our data - using it to influence and guide strategy, as well as identifying opportunities that may benefit the business. All our analysts work across the business verticals on a broad range of challenges and though you will start in search marketing analytics, you will have the opportunity to work on different challenges, projects and teams throughout your time with RVU.

What You’ll Be Working On

Using tools and databases including Google sheets, BigQuery (SQL), Tableau, and Python you’ll tackle intriguing and exciting problems that we’re only just starting to understand, in order to:

  • Measure, quantify, and optimise complex marketing funnels and consumer journeys
  • Run tests to better understand the incrementality of our marketing channels and campaigns
  • Collaborate with and influence the relevant marketing team members to make more informed data-guided decisions
  • Monitor, report and diagnose trends in KPIs, automating wherever possible, and proactively finding risks and opportunities
  • Development of analytical tools and models to improve our analytical capabilities

What We Look For

  • Proficiency in SQL is essential; we also use Python for automation, modelling and experimentation, if you're not an expert yet, we’ll help you get there
  • Communication skills; scoping projects, disseminating results and instilling confidence in your work with key internal stakeholders of varied backgrounds
  • Experience in using analytical and data BI tooling such as Tableau (Git, dbt - nice to haves)
  • Experience building operational & financial models, synthesising recommendations, and presenting to senior executives
  • Strong prioritisation and urgency; understanding that not every task is urgent, but every day is

You don’t need to tick off everything on this list - so don’t let that hold you back from applying. We want to make sure you’re learning plenty during your time with us!

Here’s a flavour of what our analysts have been up to recently:

  • Developed an in-house model to understand our how to improve our Organic search performance
  • Supporting a company wide initiative to develop and implement a propensity model to give our customers more relevant content
  • Developed our own optimisation model to find opportunities in search marketing campaigns

Our commitment to you:

At RVU, we are dedicated to developing valuable, inclusive, and user-friendly products and services that deliver positive outcomes for all of our customers. To achieve this it’s essential that our teams reflect the diverse range of people in our community. We believe in being the change we wish to see in the world, by embracing our differences and holding ourselves accountable to being open and inclusive teammates and wider community members.

What We Offer

We want to give you a great work environment, support your growth both personally and professionally, and provide benefits that make your time at RVU even more enjoyable. Here are some of the benefits you can look forward to:

  • 10% discretionary yearly bonus and yearly pay reviews (based on RVU and personal performance)
  • A hybrid working approach with 2 in-office days per week and up to 22 working days per year to “work from anywhere”
  • Employer matching pension contributions up to 7.5%
