We are now looking for a confident and solutions-focused HR Advisor to join our friendly and collaborative HR team at Monsoon Accessorize. Supporting our retail stores across the UK, Ireland, and the Channel Islands, this fully generalist role is responsible for delivering a comprehensive and tactical HR service. You’ll work closely with store managers and teams, providing expert advice on a wide range of HR matters while delivering pragmatic, creative, and commercially focused solutions that align with business needs.

You’ll play a key role in building strong relationships at all levels, sharing best practice, ensuring legal compliance, and helping to minimise risk across the business.

What will you do as an HR Advisor?

Employee Relations

  • Provide consistent, commercial and legally compliant ER advice and guidance to line managers.
  • Provide an advisory service to employees ensuring they are fully aware of their rights and entitlements.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of the legal framework in which HR operates.
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures and propose updates, as necessary.
  • Support the implementation of new policies, procedures & systems.
  • Case manage ER cases to conclusion, sharing outcomes with the wider HR team to support a cohesive, consistent approach and aid learning and development.
  • Work with the HR Manager to successfully deliver operational processes including pay review and succession planning.

Communication & Engagement

  • Create correspondence that is clear, professional, accurate, consistent, legally compliant, meeting all internal & external SLA’s.
  • Deliver HR & Group induction when required.
  • Complete regular update meetings with relevant managers to communicate HR initiatives and changes including succession planning, ER issues, talent management & workforce planning.
  • Support the development of strong communication and feedback channels with all staff and through a variety of mechanisms to support employee engagement.
  • Support the delivery of the engagement strategy for business area, ensuring cost effective engagement strategies are used proactively to improve retention and minimize recruitment costs.

Management Information, Process & Systems

  • Ensure the maintenance and accuracy of HR data for business area, fully utilising the HR systems to enable measurement and analysis.
  • Extract and analyse management information to inform and shape business priorities and decision-making highlighting potential trends, i.e. exit interviews, role evaluations & QPRs.
  • Support the continuous development of HR Operations reporting, processes and workflows.

Other

  • Play an active role in HR projects as appropriate, to ensure HR objectives are met.
  • Complete external market analysis.
  • Support in all areas of organisation design.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support business growth & strategy.
  • Perform any other reasonable and relevant duties appropriate to this role.

What will you need to succeed in the HR Advisor role?

  • Maintains confidentiality and displays discretion at all times.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Customer focused, demonstrating a passion to deliver a quality service on time, every time.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills demonstrating the ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload.
  • Proven ER advisory experience essential.
  • Experience working in the Fashion or Hospitality Industry is essential
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office suite and Visio.
  • Flexible and adaptable, demonstrating drive and resilience to get the job done.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Able to develop and maintain effective business relationships at all levels.
  • CIPD qualification is desirable or 2 years equivalent HR experience
