Job DescriptionThe Pre-Arrival Questionnaire (PAQ) project is a new initiative providing the opportunity for higher education institutions to better understand the needs and experience of students to help maximise progress both within and beyond their studies.

As project lead at Advance HE, you will be convening participation, co-ordinating delivery across external stakeholders, working with high profile advisory groups, producing and presenting results for publication and bringing together best practice via end-of-year conferences. Using your advanced data analysis skills and expertise in Power BI, you will be directly responsible for producing interactive benchmarking for participating institutions, while your survey design skills and methodological expertise will have the chance to shine as you help set the reporting standards for the project.

Other responsibilities will include working across Advance HE’s diverse Research & Surveys portfolio providing innovative solutions for clients and member institutions to help enable higher education to be the best it can be.

Job RequirementsIf you are an expert in design and delivery of Surveys across a range of stakeholders, with advanced data handling and visualisation skills using Power BI then this is the role for you. An all-rounder, your stakeholder liaison skills, diplomacy and ability to work in high profile environments will be key to your success, enabling your expertise in survey methodologies and reporting to shine. With a passion for how Survey insights can deliver real impact and help influence policy, you will have a focus on how to create opportunities to demonstrate the success of the PAQ initiative and help grow participation and influence in future.

Using your ability to pivot between priorities, you will also turn your focus to delivering individual client solutions using a range of mixed methods research techniques while contributing to the development of the Advance HE Research & Insights portfolio.

The Key Skills We Are Looking For Include

  • Experience in survey design, implementation and analysis
  • Demonstrable expertise in building and producing interactive reporting using Power BI
  • Experience in convening and project managing group participation projects involving multiple external stakeholders
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly while focusing on delivering insights from a strategy and/ or policy perspective
  • Ability to work collaboratively with high profile external stakeholders in a flexible, diplomatic and solution-focused manner.

The full-time salary for this role is £43,078 per annum. This is a part time role 24.5 hours per week with a pro rata salary of £30,154.60.
