Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for a Shot Peen Operative (Nights). Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry. This Shot Peen Operative (Nights) position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. In this role you will perform shot peening operations on aircraft components to restore or enhance their structural integrity and fatigue life

Role Responsibilities will include:

• To understand technical drawings have a good knowledge of the different methods and intensities of shot peen. Be able to work to and within an EASA 145 standard.
• To inspect and stamp work carried out and to highlight any quality problems encountered.
• Have knowledge of safety standards in a shot peen and grit blast environment.
• Must be able to work alone within a confined area (not claustrophobic).
• To maintain a clean area of work i.e. the cleaning of filter system and grit blast and shop peen
• To keep production flow to an optimum supplying the plating shop with parts and prioritising the
• incoming parts from N.D.T.
• To work in accordance with quality standards and health and safety.
• An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental
• You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book.

Skills and Experience required:

• Good knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Previous experience of working in an Engineering environment.
• Previous experience of working in Shot peening to SOPM requirements.
• Previous experience of Grit Blasting

Up to £34,078 base salary. When 4 months of day shift is complete for training, you'll then go onto night shift pattern of Sunday to Thursday 9.30pm to 5.30am. Night shift uplift is 34.1% of base salary added on top.
