Do you have a passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning and thrive in their education? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking confident, resilient, and empathetic Behaviour Mentors to work across a range of primary and secondary schools in the London Borough of Brent.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those with experience in youth work, pastoral support, SEND, or behaviour management who are looking for flexible and rewarding work within education.
About the RoleAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting pupils who may present challenging behaviour, helping them to engage positively with learning and school life.
Key Responsibilities:
Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with social, emotional or behavioural needs
De-escalating incidents calmly and professionally, using restorative approaches where appropriate
Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and personal development
Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SENCOs to implement behaviour strategies
Modelling positive behaviour and building trusting relationships with young people

Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (in education, youth work, or care settings)
Calm, confident, and positive under pressure
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A proactive, empathetic, and firm-but-fair approach
A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
