Job Title: Building Safety ManagerLocation: Croydon / hybrid Job Type: PermanentJob Description:Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive building safety policies and procedures.- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.- Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct safety drills.- Manage and maintain safety documentation, including inspection reports and incident records.- Collaborate with building management, maintenance teams, and contractors to ensure safety standards are met.- Provide training and guidance to staff on safety practices and emergency procedures.- Stay updated on industry best practices and legislative changes related to building safety.Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.- Proven experience in building safety management or a similar role.- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and lead a team.- Certification in building safety or occupational health and safety is preferred.Additional Requirements:- Ability to handle physical demands of inspections and emergency situations.- Availability for on-call duties in case of emergencies.
