Founders Factory
Founders Factory builds and funds startups together with exceptional entrepreneurs and the world's leading companies. Headquartered in London, Founders Factory backs visionary founders with capital, dedicated support from a team of 60+ operators, and unrivalled access to a coalition of industry leading corporate partners. Since 2015, our 400 portfolio companies have raised over $4bn follow-on funding from leading investors in four continents.

We’re now hiring a Commercialisation Lead to support our early-stage portfolio to define and execute their go-to-market strategies, build early customer traction, and lay the foundations for scalable sales.

This role is both strategic and hands-on. You’ll work closely with founders as a trusted advisor and embedded operator, helping them bridge the gap between technical validation and commercial success.

Supporting industrial startups in programmes such as mining with Rio Tinto, oceans and blue economy with Blue Action, future industries with HSBC and nature tech with the Government of Western Australia, you should have experience and an interest in deep tech and climate.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Define and execute go-to-market and commercialisation strategies: identifying target customers, refining value propositions, shaping pricing and positioning.
  • Drive customer discovery and early sales aligned to product roadmaps - from outreach and qualification through to closing POCs, pilots and full contracts.
  • Build and manage lifecycle programmes (CRM, email automation, etc.) to support founder-led sales.
  • Support the creation of sales enablement materials (decks, case studies, one-pagers).
  • Design and deliver masterclasses and interactive sessions for early-stage founders, focused on enterprise sales, go-to-market, and commercialisation.
  • Create supporting content (e.g. videos, toolkits, primers) to help scale commercial learning across cohorts.
  • Design and implement tracking plans, analyse and report on key commercial metrics.
  • Support building our customer community - developing partnerships with corporates and enterprise stakeholders that enable strategic introductions and early commercial opportunities for our startups.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in B2B commercial roles, ideally in early-stage enterprise-focused startups.
  • Track record of turning early-stage products into commercially viable offerings.
  • High commercial and product acumen, with the ability to translate technical features into business value.
  • Familiarity with complex sales processes, ideally in technical or regulated industries.
  • Strong end-to-end sales experience, including prospecting, qualification, and closing - ideally within a startup or fast-paced B2B environment.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems and automation tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive).
  • Strong data literacy and experience using metrics to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills - you’ll be working with founders, running workshops, and building external relationships.
  • A genuine passion for helping founders take technical innovations to market and build commercially successful businesses.
  • Bonus if you have experience creating scalable learning content (videos, playbooks, guides etc).

Note: Salary comp for this role is £65k/annum. Read on about more of our benefits:
