PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £45,000 - £60,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. This role is part-time 0.4 EFT (2 days per week in the office). In addition to the salary this role will also be eligible for a London weighting allowance pro rata.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Our Operations team is at the heart of business governance, compliance, and project delivery — ensuring the smooth running of key functions across Brand & Marketing, Media, BBC Creative, Audiences, and the Licence Fee Unit. The CCOG Operations team enable the smooth running of a multiple-disciplined division, equipping teams with the operational tools and workspaces they need to do their best work, and providing key transactional and contractual processing support. We also support our teams with understanding and engagement with relevant BBC policies and risk management processes to ensure active compliance. The Operations Team lives and breathes the BBC Values.

Your Key Responsibilities And Impact

As a Business Coordinator, your role will include a variety of responsibilities across finance, project support, technology coordination, and administration:

  • Manage SAP financial processes (e.g., POs, SOs, Talent, Copyright, and Freelancer bookings), maintain accurate records, resolve discrepancies, and handle finance-related queries.
  • Coordinate team tasks, respond to operational queries, and represent the team in finance user groups.
  • Provide project and strategic support through admin, analytics, reporting, and information gathering.
  • Oversee IT coordination, including user access, asset tracking, and intranet content management (SharePoint/iPages).
  • Ensure policy compliance, facilitate internal communication, and build strong stakeholder relationships to support service delivery.

Other Regular Activity For The Role Holder Would Be

  • Collecting boxes and other items and moving them around the building.
  • Collecting and handing out kit.
  • Helping people on laptops and other tech with issues.
  • Organising and managing cupboard storage space.
  • Working with cables and Monitors
  • Facilities management – looking at issues with desks and other things of that nature before bringing in FM teams.

Essential Criteria

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We’re Looking For Someone Who Brings

  • Strong IT skills, including experience with MS Office, Dropbox, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and iPages. These skills will have been gained in a large professional organisation.
  • Proven excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational abilities.
  • Proven clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset and experience working effectively in teams.
  • Initiative and independence in problem-solving with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and experience handling complex and confidential information.
