Leads the proactive development and execution of CNA Hardy’s internal and external employer brand and communications strategy across UK & Europe.

Delivers proactive marketing and communications services to internal stakeholders, leads campaigns that drive heightened employee engagement, builds the brand throughout the organisation, takes lead on strategic events internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads work to align our people and our customers behind a cohesive corporate message that outlines who we are, what we do, what we stand for, what value we bring, how we do it and outlines where we are headed.
  • Provides strategic input and tactical direction for CNAH business-specific internal communications and brand initiatives and campaigns. Conducts regular meetings with segment leadership and staff to develop internal communication plans to align with business strategies.
  • Collaborates with lines of business to define internal communications needs and solutions. Responsible for defining and developing compelling strategy messages, success stories and business wins for CNAH.
  • Leads vendor resources in the development, delivery and upkeep of company internal communications and branding tools and materials including quarterly financial results, leadership communications, corporate events, newsletters and announcements, and cultural engagement events, newsletters and announcements.
  • Leads the strategic use of the intranet so that it is aligned with the overall internal comms, engagement and culture strategy: stronger connections, trust and confidence in our leaders and openness and honesty. Manages the governance of the intranet so it is an effective internal channel with information that helps people to do their respective roles efficiently.
  • Defines best practices and develops process guide for submission of content for internal communications platforms and manages a suite of KPIs to measure the success of such.
  • Acts as US/Europe conduit to maximize and leverage our global corporate resources to enhance our external and internal brand.
  • Responsible for internal resources to ensure internal communications information is up-to-date and accurate on all corporate communications operational platforms.
  • Works closely with M&C Director to develop and implement full internal communications and branding plan. Takes ownership for specific deliverables.

Wider Responsibilities

  • In partnership with HR, defines and promotes the Employee Value Proposition so the narrative is true to our people’s experience of life at CNAH with evidence that we are making our Employee Value Proposition a reality.
  • In partnership with the DEI council and key stakeholders across the business and North America, embed our vision for an inclusive CNAH. Showcases people who are living our LEAP values through employee profiles and the LEAP awards.
  • Ensures branding guidelines are adhered to and brand requirements are incorporated across all internal communications. Ensures that internal communications are in compliance with legal standards and conform to corporate guidelines.
  • Provides coaching and assistance to less experienced staff.
  • Complies with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and ensure, at a level appropriate to the position, that appropriate measures are in place to ensure this compliance.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills and with ability to interact and build strong partnerships and networks with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to take initiative and proactively drive communications and organisational strategy.
  • Ability to translate technical and/or complicated information into clear, concise prose appropriate for various targeted audiences
  • Strong presentation, verbal, writing and editing skill with attention to detail. Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of CRM, marketing automation, social media and e-marketing valued but not essential. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry valued but not essential.
