The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Computing Teacher to join our vibrant and forward-thinking faculty. The successful candidate will be passionate about inspiring students and delivering high-quality Computing education from KS3 through to GCSE and potentially A-Level. You will play a key role in developing students’ digital literacy, programming skills, and understanding of computer science principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Computing lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5.

  • Plan and deliver a well-structured, stimulating curriculum that meets the requirements of the national computing curriculum and examination boards.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and participate in departmental initiatives.

  • Support students’ wider development through extracurricular activities and computing-related clubs.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and enhance teaching and learning.

  • Promote the school’s Catholic ethos and values in all aspects of teaching and interaction.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Strong subject knowledge in Computing and Computer Science.

  • Experience teaching Computing across KS3 and GCSE, with A-Level teaching experience an advantage.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.

  • Commitment to professional development and collaborative working.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Alignment with the school’s Catholic values and ethos.
