Your mission

Join our fast-moving stealth startup as an Embedded Hardware Engineer working on next-generation wearable technologies. You’ll take ownership of the electronics stack for our core platform and play a key role in bringing complex embedded systems from prototype to production.

Your profile

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and bring up embedded PCBs for electromechanical control systems (e.g. pumps, solenoids, pressure sensors).
  • Develop and validate power systems, including battery integration, charging, PMICs, and power regulation.
  • Drive component selection with attention to lifecycle status, sourcing risk, and BOM stability.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and firmware teams on layout, signal integrity, and system interfaces.
  • Interface with contract manufacturers to ensure DFM/DFA, support builds, and troubleshoot bring-up issues.
  • Support low-level firmware interfaces (GPIO, I²C, SPI) for device control and sensor feedback.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and support transition from R&D prototypes to manufacturable hardware.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in embedded hardware design, with at least 1–2 shipped commercial products.
  • Strong experience with PCB layout and assembly for compact, mixed-signal systems.
  • Deep understanding of battery-powered hardware: LiPo, PMICs, current sensing.
  • Familiarity with Nordic (nRF) and Espressif (ESP32) platforms.
  • Experience with electromechanical control: pumps, motors, solenoids, pressure sensors.
  • Confident using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, current probes, and test equipment.
  • Ability to debug and validate circuits across hardware and firmware boundaries.

Technical Skills

  • PCB design using Altium or KiCAD
  • Microcontroller development: ARM Cortex, ESP32, PIC or similar
  • Low-power system architecture and embedded power management
  • BLE and wireless communications (Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, etc.)
  • Basic signal/data processing using MATLAB, Python, or similar

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to wearable, medical, or biometric devices
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, flexible PCBs, and short-cycle iteration
  • Familiarity with component lifecycle management and production transition workflows
  • Familiarity with certification considerations such as battery safety (UN 38.3, IEC 62133), wireless approvals (CE/FCC), or basic medical device standards (e.g. ISO 13485) is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Clear communicator with strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable operating autonomously
  • Proven ability to manage multiple hardware subsystems and iterate under tight timelines

Why us?

  • Work at the core of a high-impact wearable product with real-world applications
  • Help define the hardware stack of a stealth-stage company as an early team member
  • Competitive early-stage benefits with strong opportunities for long-term growth
