We’re actively seeking a talented SVP, Global Head of Talent Management to join our People Experience team in Newport Beach, CA or London, England reporting to the EVP, Chief People Experience Officer. This role is hybrid.
As the SVP, Global Head of Talent Management you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward as you take on responsibility for crafting and executing a comprehensive strategy that integrates talent management, organizational development, and change management to drive organizational success. This role will lead the development of programs that enhance employee performance, engagement, and leadership development while ensuring the organization is agile and adaptable to change.
The ideal candidate will be an expert in talent and organizational development with a proven ability to lead complex change initiatives and foster a high-performance and inclusive culture.

How You’ll Help Move Us Forward
Talent Strategy Development
- Design and implement a comprehensive global talent management strategy aligned with the company's vision and business goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand and anticipate talent needs and develop strategies to address gaps.
- Lead initiatives to identify and develop high-potential talent and future leaders within the organization.
- Design and implement leadership development programs that enhance managerial and executive capabilities.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of training and development programs that build essential skills and capabilities.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development across all levels of the organization.
- Establish and maintain robust succession planning processes to ensure a pipeline of qualified candidates for key positions.
- Partner with business leaders to identify critical roles and develop succession plans.
- Develop and refine performance management systems to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and enhance employee performance.
- Provide guidance and support to managers in conducting effective performance reviews and feedback sessions.
- Lead the design and implementation of organizational development initiatives that support business transformation, enhance organizational effectiveness, and build a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead change management initiatives related to talent processes, ensuring smooth transitions during organizational restructuring, culture shifts, and the implementation of new talent programs.
- Champion D&I initiatives to create an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity and fosters a sense of belonging.
- Integrate D&I principles into all aspects of talent management and development.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent experience in Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a combination of talent management, organizational development, and change management, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing talent management strategies that align with the overall goals and long-term vision of the organization.
- Strong understanding of leadership development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with HR technology and systems related to talent management.
- Experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience identifying future trends, challenges, and opportunities, using strategic insights to make decision that drive an organization’s growth and success
- Develops people to meet both their career goals and the organization's goals; builds strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
- Finds opportunities to create new and better ways for the organization to be successful
- Consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances; knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to pivot strategies, adjust processes, and mobilize resources effectively to meet evolving business needs, ensuring the organization remains competitive and resilient in the face of change.
