Abion, an international IP powerhouse with bold ambitions, is looking for a Brand Protection Counsel to strengthen our Domain Disputes team. This position is available in either our Italy, Malta or UK offices.

What You'll Do - Responsibilities

As a lawyer in the Domain Disputes team in our Brand Protection division, you will engage directly with clients to address a variety of online intellectual property rights infringement issues. We are looking for a digital-savvy, positive-minded legal professional eager to contribute to our team's growth in a dynamic, international setting.

Your main responsibilities will include providing consultancy and legal advice on online brand protection and enforcement, with a particular focus on domain names. You will oversee domain name enforcement cases comprehensively.

Additionally, your role is critical in driving the department's revenue growth through new customer acquisition and the nurturing of existing client relationships.

  • Legal Consultancy: Provide expert advice on online brand protection, with a strong focus on domain enforcement
  • Drafting: Prepare legal documents including C&D letters, UDRP/URS complaints, DMCA notices, and settlement agreements
  • Case Management: Handle filings and maintain up-to-date case records in our internal systems
  • Client Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing ongoing updates and reports
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Brand Protection colleagues, IT & Security, and Customer Support to ensure seamless client experience
  • Execution & Initiative: Deliver high-quality results and contribute ideas for ongoing improvement based on trends and insights

Who You Are - Qualifications

  • Law degree
  • At least 1-year prior experience in a law firm or in-house role
  • Experience with Domain disputes proceedings / UDRP strongly preferred
  • Strong legal and business English (other languages are a plus)
  • Excellent research and digital analysis skills
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and able to juggle multiple priorities
  • Skilled communicator with a passion for team leadership and operational excellence
  • Results-driven, proactive, and eager to shape and scale legal processes
