As a Data & AI R&D Consultant (Life Sciences), You Will:
Deliver client-facing work that applies data and AI solutions to improve drug development and clinical trial performance
Leverage your understanding of clinical development, either from within pharma or consulting, to inform strategic problem-solving and solution design
Contribute to projects involving trial scenario simulations, protocol optimization, recruitment forecasting, and digital twin models
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams - data scientists, technologists, and client stakeholders - to co-create impact
Translate complex data and analytics into actionable insights and recommendations for client decision-makers
Contribute to internal capability development, thought leadership, and innovation initiatives within the R&D team and wider Life Sciences practice
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
Relevant work experience in data science, machine learning, and business analytics
Practical experience in coding languages eg. Python, R, Scala, etc.; (Python preferred)
Proficiency in database technologies eg. SQL, ETL, No-SQL, DW, and Big Data technologies e.g. pySpark, Hive, etc.
Experienced working with structured and also unstructured data eg. Text, PDFs, jpgs, call recordings, video, etc.
Knowledge of machine learning modelling techniques and how to fine-tune those models eg. XGBoost, Deep Neural Networks, Transformers, Markov chains, etc.
Experience using specialized machine learning libraries e.g. Fastai, Keras, Tensorflow, pytorch, sci-kit learn, huggingface, etc.
Must demonstrate the capacity of reading, understanding and implementing new techniques in the field of machine learning as they emerge.
Experience of using Cloud technologies eg. AWS, GCP or Azure.
Specialised visualisation techniques eg. D3.js, ggplot etc.
Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills
Awareness of Large Language Models (LLMs) and a strong enthusiasm for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in the field

Proven history and background in statistics/mathematics/macroeconomics
