This role is responsible for managing complex safeguarding casework, conducting risk assessments, and delivering expert advisory services to ensure full compliance with national safety standards and legislation.

Description
- Casework Management: Respond promptly to safeguarding allegations and concerns, managing comprehensive risk assessment and risk management plans to establish clear safety boundaries.
- Expert Advisory: Act as the central point of contact to provide legally sound, professional safeguarding advice to community leaders and organizational staff.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Liaise extensively with statutory authorities, representing the organization at strategy meetings, case conferences, and multi-agency risk panels (such as MAPPA and MARAC).
- Strategic & Project Support: Lead proactive safeguarding initiatives, policy reviews, and targeted projects across your designated area to drive best practices and operational compliance.
- Training Delivery: Design and deliver comprehensive induction packages and bespoke training modules to equip local representatives with critical safeguarding skills.
Profile
- Qualified Professional: Holds a recognized qualification in Social Work or a related profession, or possesses equivalent extensive practitioner experience in child or adult safeguarding.
- Proven Experience: Demonstrates a track record of managing safeguarding allegations against people in positions of trust, alongside experience working directly with both victims/survivors and perpetrators of abuse.
- Risk Framework Knowledge: Possesses strong practical knowledge of risk management frameworks, including familiarity with processes such as MAPPA, MARAC, and PREVENT.
- Excellent Communicator: Exhibits exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills, with a proven ability to produce meticulous, legally compliant records and reports.
