Sales Manager - Wholesale Market - #2082370

A boutique investment management firm is looking for an experienced business development professional to expand its presence across the UK wealth and wholesale market. This is a senior, client-facing role with a strong emphasis on relationship building and asset raising, alongside a meaningful strategic remit.

The position offers the opportunity to take genuine ownership of a channel, shaping how the firm approaches and prioritises the market while driving commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

1. Driving proactive outreach and developing relationships across the UK wealth and wholesale landscape
2. Focusing on discretionary wealth managers, engaging with investment managers, research teams and investment committees
3. Building and managing a robust prospect pipeline, converting relationships into funded mandates
4. Contributing to and influencing business development strategy, including market mapping, segmentation and coverage approach
5. Overseeing the day-to-day BD process, working collaboratively with existing internal resources

Candidate profile

1. 7+ years’ experience in investment management sales or business development
2. Strong, established network within UK wealth management, with the ability to generate access independently
3. Demonstrable track record of raising assets within institutional and/or wealth channels
4. Experience operating at a strategic level, shaping BD initiatives rather than purely executing against them
5. A self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial, boutique environment and values a collaborative culture
6. Familiarity with and ability to represent a fundamental, bottom-up investment approach
