Business Analyst - Investment Bank (Contract)
Location: London (Hybrid)

Overview
We are working with a leading global investment bank seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-performing front office technology and change team on a 6-month contract. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, supporting critical trading and risk initiatives.

Role Responsibilities

Work closely with front office stakeholders (Trading, Structuring, Sales) to gather and document requirements
Translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
Partner with developers and data teams to deliver scalable solutions
Perform data analysis and validation using SQL and Python
Support Agile delivery using Jira (user stories, backlog grooming, sprint planning)
Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements across trading platforms
Conduct UAT coordination and support implementation into production

Key Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Business Analyst within an Investment Banking environment
Strong understanding of one or more asset classes, e.g.:

Bonds / Fixed Income
Front Office Derivatives
FX (Foreign Exchange)

Hands-on experience with:

Python (data analysis, scripting, automation)
SQL (data extraction, manipulation)
Jira (Agile delivery environment)

Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technology teams
Experience working on front office or trading-related projects

Nice to Have

Knowledge of risk systems or regulatory projects
Experience with data modelling or reporting tools
Exposure to cloud or modern data platforms
