Forward Deployed Engineer - Macro Trading Platform
We're partnered with a leading global investment firm hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work closely with Portfolio Managers across its macro business (Rates & FX).
The role focuses on building production-grade systems that embed quant analytics into trading workflows across pricing, risk, and trade lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Build and scale Python-based APIs, libraries, and services for real-time trading and analytics
- Collaborate with PMs and quants to translate models into production systems
- Design and implement live trading tools and applications that help scale research and drive alpha capture
- Develop tooling for pricing, risk, and backtesting across macro products
- Design clean, scalable systems within a large, multi-asset macro tech stack
What they're looking for
- 2+ years' experience in software engineering in trading or financial environments
- Strong Python; experience with Rates/FX products (swaps, futures, options)
- Track record building robust, user-facing production systems
- Strong fundamentals in system design and API development
High-impact role with direct exposure to investment workflows and strong engineering ownership.
