Claims Adjuster - #2084110

We are recruiting for a Claims Adjuster on behalf of a specialist London Market Managing General Agent.

The successful candidate will ensure the efficient review and settlement of all primarily first party claims. Currently the majority of expected case load will come from Open Market Property and Upstream Energy. However, there may be opportunities to develop other classes including PV / Terrorism, Contingency, Aviation and Marine.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing a premier claims service for all clients and brokers, proactively adjusting claims and managing files.
• Working closely with capital providers to ensure that they have all relevant information.
• Ensuring excellent communication with brokers.
• Expanding and maintaining awareness of market, industry and lines of business through networking, relationships with distribution partners, attending conferences / briefings and reading appropriate articles / publications.

Key Requirements

• A University Degree is desired.
• Insurance Professional Qualification is desired.
• Proven and practical experience of applying competencies.
• Relevant experience as an insurance claims professional, in the Lloyd’s and / or London Market.
• Knowledge and understanding of the general insurance market and principles.
• Understanding of London and International market structure, practices, processes and procedures including systems and relevant documentation.
• Knowledge and understanding of insurance accounting systems including distribution partners, third party and brokerage accounts.
• Knowledge and understanding of various classes of insurance practices, processes and procedures in relevant regions.
