Senior Business Development Manager

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Commercial team and support the distribution of the Lenders specialist mortgage products.
This is a full-time remote position responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining intermediary relationships, developing strategic plans, and managing sales processes.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the National Sales Director to develop and implement strategies that grow the businesses market share within the specialist lending sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, packagers, mortgage clubs, and distribution partners.
- Provide guidance and support to brokers and packagers to optimise performance and customer outcomes.
- Maintain broker engagement plans for all key and volume relationships, including performance against agreed targets.
- Represent the business at industry events, associations, and community engagements to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
- Work collaboratively with the Underwriting team to provide feedback and contribute to the credit risk appetite process.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop innovative approaches to meet market and customer needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date partner records within the CRM system.
- Support the growth and success of the Commercial department by working collaboratively across the business.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Knowledge and Skills
- 3 years BDM experience
- Experience across both regulated and non-regulated lending environments.
- Strong understanding of specialist lending products, lender criteria, affordability assessments, and market competition.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong IT proficiency
