A leading professional services firm is seeking a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager to join its growing London-based team.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, family businesses, trusts and partnerships, providing both compliance and advisory support. You'll work alongside experienced tax professionals and collaborate with specialists across the wider business to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
The Role
You will take responsibility for managing a varied client portfolio, ensuring the delivery of high-quality personal tax compliance services while also supporting a range of advisory projects. The position offers significant client exposure, technical development opportunities and the chance to contribute to team growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing personal tax compliance matters for a portfolio of private clients.
- Supporting the delivery of advisory projects across a broad range of private client tax issues.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing coaching and guidance.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders on planning assignments and technical projects.
- Contributing to business development initiatives and identifying opportunities to expand client services.
- Collaborating with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide integrated client solutions.
About You
The successful candidate will be motivated, commercially aware and keen to develop their private client tax expertise within a collaborative environment.
Requirements:
- CTA qualified or approaching qualification, with ATT qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of UK private client taxation.
- Experience managing personal tax compliance work for a range of clients.
- Ability to manage deadlines, budgets and multiple client assignments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues.
- Comfortable building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
