This role is with a PE backed organisation within Energy Infrastructure in the UK. As part of a mid-sized company, the successful candidate will contribute to financial planning and analysis of projects in a collaborative and professional environment.
Description
- Provide financial oversight and support across a range of projects.
- Work with non-finance stakeholders to maintain alignment between project activity and financial expectations.
- Responsible for the development of consistent financial reporting approaches.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking activities, including monitoring performance against expectations.
- Act as a key point of coordination between project teams on financial matters.
- Produce and share regular financial updates for stakeholders.
- Assist in forecasting future requirements and ensuring appropriate financial planning.
- Apply financial insight to highlight risks and opportunities, supporting informed decision-making.
Profile
A successful Project Accountant should have:
- A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure development is advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
