The Project Accountant will play a key role in providing financial insights and strategic support to drive decision-making within the Energy Infrastructure space. This role in London is ideal for a finance professional with a strong background in accounting and finance and commercial insight, looking to contribute to business growth.

Client Details

This role is with a PE backed organisation within Energy Infrastructure in the UK. As part of a mid-sized company, the successful candidate will contribute to financial planning and analysis of projects in a collaborative and professional environment.

Description


    • Provide financial oversight and support across a range of projects.
    • Work with non-finance stakeholders to maintain alignment between project activity and financial expectations.
    • Responsible for the development of consistent financial reporting approaches.
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking activities, including monitoring performance against expectations.
    • Act as a key point of coordination between project teams on financial matters.
    • Produce and share regular financial updates for stakeholders.
    • Assist in forecasting future requirements and ensuring appropriate financial planning.
    • Apply financial insight to highlight risks and opportunities, supporting informed decision-making.


Profile

A successful Project Accountant should have:

  • A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure development is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
