About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager - Operational Risk to support a major ECB onboarding and transformation programme across the EMEA region.

You will work closely with Operational Risk, IT teams, and senior stakeholders to deliver large-scale regulatory and technology initiatives within a highly regulated financial services environment.

This role requires strong leadership across the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery of strategic IT programmes on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Operational Risk technology projects (including SAI360 or equivalent platforms)
• Manage multiple IT projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders across EMEA to drive successful outcomes
• Define project scope, roadmaps, governance, and delivery plans
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations effectively
• Ensure delivery quality meets business and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, testers, analysts, and vendors
• Manage third-party suppliers, contracts, and resource allocation
• Track project financials, budgets, and reporting requirements
• Provide regular updates, dashboards, and governance reporting to senior leadership
• Ensure full documentation, compliance, and audit readiness

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience in IT Project / Programme / Technology Delivery Management - End to end projects (including SAI360 or equivalent platforms)
• Previously worked in financial services in essential
• Strong background in Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk, or GRC environments
• Experience delivering risk and control frameworks, regulatory change, or compliance transformation
• Hands-on experience with GRC platforms (SAI360, Archer, ServiceNow GRC, or similar)
• Strong understanding of Operational Risk lifecycle (RCSA, incidents, KRIs, controls)
• Experience working in regulated banking or financial services environments
• Strong stakeholder management across Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Technology functions
• Strong Operational Risk or Credit Risk experience within Financial Services (preferred)
• Experience with large-scale regulatory and transformation programmes
• Strong stakeholder management across business, IT, and vendor teams
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Office
• Strong risk, issue, and dependency management skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in complex, matrixed, multi-region environments (EMEA)
• Experience in regulated banking environments (ECB or similar exposure preferred)

Desirable

• Experience with GRC tools such as SAI360 or similar platforms
• PMP / SAFe / ITIL / CSM / TOGAF certifications
• Background in software engineering, IT infrastructure, or digital transformation
