BRD Search is working with a growing multi-site organisation that is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for either a studier or newly qualified accountant looking to step into a broad and visible role within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with operational leaders and senior stakeholders, supporting financial performance, delivering insightful analysis and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
The Role
This position offers a varied mix of management accounting, financial analysis and business partnering responsibilities. You will play a key role in supporting month-end processes, strengthening financial controls and helping operational teams make informed commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
Produce detailed analysis of income, costs and profitability across service areas
Identify trends, risks and opportunities through financial performance reviews
Prepare and post month-end journals including accruals and prepayments
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner
Build effective relationships with operational stakeholders and department leaders
Provide meaningful financial insight to support business decision-making
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
About You
You will be a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and adding value beyond the numbers. You will be comfortable managing competing priorities and communicating financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance teams.
Skills & Experience Required
- Studying towards or newly qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Strong reconciliation and month-end accounting experience
- Previous exposure to business partnering and stakeholder engagement
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse large data sets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proactive approach with the ability to work independently
- High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership
