We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Managing Director to join a leading global financial institution based in London.
This position offers the opportunity to operate at a senior level within a well-established international platform, advising on a broad range of complex and high-profile transactions across sectors. The role combines strategic leadership, client engagement, and transaction execution within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the origination and execution of a wide range of strategic transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and other advisory mandates
- Act as a senior relationship lead for key clients, maintaining and developing long-term partnerships with corporates, financial sponsors, and other market participants
- Oversee all aspects of transaction delivery, ensuring high-quality execution, effective risk management, and seamless coordination across internal and external stakeholders
- Provide strategic advice to clients, delivering insightful and differentiated perspectives on market dynamics, valuation, and potential opportunities
- Drive business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and contributing to the growth of the broader franchise
- Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring consistent standards of excellence
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support broader platform strategy and expansion initiatives
- Represent the firm in the market, maintaining a strong external profile and network
Requirements
- Significant experience within investment banking, corporate finance, or financial advisory, with a strong track record of leading transactions and client relationships
- Proven ability to originate and execute complex deals, managing multiple workstreams in a high-pressure environment
- Strong commercial judgement and strategic thinking, with the ability to provide clear, actionable advice to senior stakeholders
- Established network of relationships across corporates, investors, and other key market participants
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage at the executive level
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including team management, mentorship, and talent development
- Experience working in an international environment and collaborating across regions is advantageous
