Senior Finance Manager - Financial & Regulatory Reporting - Banking

A leading international bank is seeking a qualified Senior Finance Manager to support the Head of Finance across its London operations.

This is a broad, hands-on banking finance role covering financial and management reporting, regulatory reporting, risk reporting, taxation, reconciliations, controls and finance systems. The successful candidate will act as a senior member of the Finance team, ensuring reporting is completed accurately and on time while supporting process improvement and finance-related projects.

Key responsibilities

  1. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting for Head Office
  2. Produce risk asset reporting and perform associated data-quality checks
  3. Support regulatory reporting and testing of regulatory-reporting system changes
  4. Complete daily market-risk and liquidity-risk reporting
  5. Prepare quarterly VAT returns and annual corporation tax returns
  6. Support HMRC reporting requirements
  7. Oversee and check purchase-ledger activity
  8. Complete and review Nostro reconciliations
  9. Maintain the integrity of finance management information systems
  10. Perform UAT for finance and regulatory-reporting system enhancements
  11. Support the annual budgeting process
  12. Complete internal control attestations, including RCSA and RRSA
  13. Maintain and reconcile the fixed-asset register
  14. Support audit confirmations and external audit requirements
  15. Maintain finance procedures and disaster-recovery documentation
  16. Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, controls and reporting
  17. Provide cover for other members of the Finance team and support ad hoc projects

Requirements

  1. Qualified accountant, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  2. At least five years' experience within a Finance department
  3. Strong banking or financial-services experience
  4. Experience in financial, management or regulatory reporting
  5. Knowledge of liquidity, market-risk or risk-asset reporting
  6. Experience of financial controls, reconciliations and taxation
  7. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  8. High attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach
  9. Comfortable working across a broad range of hands-on finance responsibilities
  10. Able to support and deputise for the Head of Finance when required
  11. Experience with regulatory-reporting systems, UAT, Regnology or Access would be advantageous.
