The organisation connects institutional clients to liquidity, data, and advanced execution capabilities through innovative technology and a broad global network.

This role sits within a next-generation agency execution business focused on empowering institutional investors through intelligent, efficient, and secure trading solutions. The business has grown into a major ecosystem supporting buy-side participants across multiple asset classes, with a strong emphasis on technology-driven execution and client collaboration.

Role Summary

The firm is looking for a senior electronic trading specialist to drive business development, expand market presence, and strengthen engagement with institutional clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in electronic trading sales, deep technical knowledge of algorithms and execution strategies, and strong relationships across asset managers, brokers, and market participants.

  5. Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities across listed derivatives and other business lines.
  6. Collaborate with product and client-facing teams to identify new business opportunities and shape innovative offerings.
  7. Maintain a strong understanding of all products and upcoming developments across the execution platform.
  8. Proactively prospect new opportunities and ensure internal stakeholders are informed of progress.

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  1. Work with senior stakeholders to develop the regional client strategy for EQS.
  2. Integrate liquidity, products, services, and distribution channels to optimise client access.
  3. Contribute to innovation by proposing new products, services, and revenue diversification initiatives.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  1. Strengthen relationships with asset managers, brokers, and market participants to enhance engagement and satisfaction.
  2. Represent the business at industry conferences, networking events, and professional forums.

Experience & Competencies

Essential

  1. Deep knowledge of electronic trading and algorithmic execution strategies.
  2. Proven track record of managing revenue and delivering strong commercial outcomes.
  3. Experience building and managing execution businesses.
  4. Strong relationships with buy-side clients, sell-side firms, and exchanges across EMEA and globally.
  5. Expert understanding of equities market structure, workflows, and trading challenges.
  6. Broad knowledge of financial markets, trading platforms, and competitive landscape.
  7. Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  8. Ability to work effectively across teams while exercising sound judgement and independence.
  9. Strong analytical, written, and verbal presentation skills.
  10. High energy, strong work ethic, and a passion for innovation in electronic trading.
