Fixed Income Repo Sales Associate - London (Institutional Clients)

Overview
A leading investment bank is seeking a Fixed Income Repo Sales Associate to join its London-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering institutional clients, supporting the distribution and growth of repo financing solutions across a broad range of fixed income products.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with institutional clients including asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, and pension funds
  • Market and distribute repo financing solutions across government bonds, credit, and other fixed income securities
  • Partner closely with trading, structuring, and collateral teams to deliver competitive financing and liquidity solutions
  • Drive client engagement through proactive idea generation, market colour, and relative value opportunities
  • Support trade execution, pricing discussions, and balance sheet optimisation across repo transactions
  • Monitor market developments including funding conditions, collateral trends, and regulatory impacts affecting repo markets
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to revenue growth within the repo franchise


Requirements

  • 2-6 years' experience in repo sales, fixed income sales, or related financing role
  • Strong understanding of repo markets, collateral management, and securities financing
  • Exposure to institutional clients (hedge funds, asset managers, etc.) is essential
  • Good knowledge of fixed income products (rates, credit, government bonds)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and execute revenue opportunities
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
