Main Purpose of the Job:?Business Support Officer
This post will be a split between administrative and reception duties depending on service need.
The appointed candidate will be based in Family Hubs across the Borough.
To provide a friendly and welcoming reception to all children, families, staff, professional colleagues and others visiting Family Hubs, ensuring they have access to the services they need.?
To provide efficient administrative support the effective and efficient delivery of services within Family Hubs.
To support the accuracy, maintenance, and development of data and information systems in response to changing needs and to ensure effective implementation and review.
Summary of Responsibilities and Personal Duties: Business Support Officer
The knowledge required to undertake these tasks will reflect the specific legislative, policy and operational requirements of Children’s Services and the individual services the post holder is designated to support.
?Reception Business Support Officer
?To provide a reception service at the Family Hub, ensuring all parents, carers, staff, partner agencies and visitors to the Hub receive a polite, warm and friendly welcome and are supported in accessing the services they need.?
- ?To carry out follow up calls to Hub users as directed by the line manager.
- To ensure all families complete a Family Hub registration form and visitors and staff sign in and out of the building.?
- To carry out daily and weekly health and safety checks and procedures as directed, including procedures related to site security, liaising with other site users as required. To act as a key holder for the site as needed.?
Internal Contacts:?Officers and managers from all services supported by Prevention and Early Help Business Support Hub, plus Information Management & Technology Service, Transformation and Development, Human Resources etc.
External Contacts:??Children, young people and families plus a range of partners such as health visitors, midwives, voluntary sector etc.?
?Carry out the duties of the post with due regard to the Council’s Equal Opportunities Policy and core values.
?All employees are required to participate in the Performance Evaluation Scheme (PES) and to undertake appropriate training and development identified to enhance their work.
All employees are required to comply with the Council's Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times, taking due care for themselves, colleagues and members of the public.
Assist in carrying out the Council's Environmental Policy within the day-to-day activities of the post.
Undertake other duties, commensurate with the grade, as may reasonably be required.
Consideration will be given to restructuring the duties of this post for a disabled post holder.
