This role will start as a 3 month internship with the view to going permanent.

What we are looking for

????We're looking for a graduate to join our production team (handling the speaking agenda at our events - this may cross over with marketing too in the near future but to begin with it would be for a role related to our speakers and the agenda)

We are the fast-growing company behind Australia's premier technology exhibition. As we expand rapidly, we're seeking a talented Production Manager to join our dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the event's success.

Role Description:

As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing the multi-stage conference program for Australias premiere event Tech Week. This includes developing compelling agendas, inviting and managing speakers, VIPs, and government officials, and collaborating with the marketing team to promote the event through these channels. You will also be involved in website editing and content creation to support the event's production.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the multi-stage conference program for Sydney Tech Week
  • Create engaging agendas that attract attendees and showcase industry trends and innovations
  • Identify, invite, and manage high-profile speakers, VIPs, and government officials
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the event through speaker and VIP networks
  • Edit and maintain the event website, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Create compelling content for the event, including speaker bios, session descriptions, and promotional materials
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of the conference program
  • Manage speaker logistics, including travel, accommodation, and onsite requirements
  • Monitor and report on key production metrics, such as speaker confirmation rates and agenda progress


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in event production, ideally within the exhibitions or conferences industry
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with high-profile individuals
  • Proficient in website content management systems
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling content
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Communications, or a related field
