Selby Jennings is exclusively partnering with a dynamic and entrepreneurial private equity firm with c.£100m AUM, focused on investing in and scaling high-growth consumer businesses across Europe. The business has built a strong track record of partnering with founder-led companies and driving value through operational expertise, brand development, and strategic expansion.
As the firm enters its next phase of growth, they are looking to appoint a Director-level fundraising professional to lead capital raising across Europe and expand their institutional investor base.
This is a highly visible, front-office role with significant autonomy, offering direct exposure to the Partners and the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the firm's fundraising strategy and long-term growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fundraising efforts across Europe, targeting institutional investors including pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, and asset managers
- Leverage an existing network of European LPs to originate and secure commitments, typically in the £10-20m range per investor
- Own the full fundraising lifecycle, from investor origination and initial meetings through to due diligence and closing
- Develop and execute a clear, scalable capital raising strategy aligned with upcoming fund launches and growth plans
- Work closely with the Partners to refine the firm's positioning, messaging, and investor materials
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with both existing and prospective investors across the region
- Support broader investor relations activity, including reporting, portfolio updates, and AGM planning
- Monitor market trends and LP appetite to help inform fundraising strategy and product development
- Act as a senior external representative of the firm across investor meetings, conferences, and industry events
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable experience in private equity fundraising or investor relations at the Director level (or equivalent seniority)
- Proven ability to raise capital from European institutional investors, with a strong and active network capable of writing £10-20m tickets
- Track record of successfully leading or materially contributing to fundraises
- Experience within lower mid-market, growth, or consumer-focused strategies is advantageous
- Strong commercial instincts and the ability to operate effectively within a lean, entrepreneurial environment
- Highly credible communicator with the confidence to engage senior LP stakeholders
- Strong relationship management capabilities, with a long-term and partnership-driven approach
- Self-starter mindset, comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and limited infrastructure
