The Position
You will be a key player within a high-performing team, broking and placing Binding Authority and/or Open Market Property business and will have genuine autonomy and support to shape your portfolio across the US and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to a diverse client base. Understand their unique profiles and provide tailored, high value insurance solutions.
- Take full ownership of your book of business and leverage growth opportunities, cross-selling, and upselling within your existing accounts.
- Attend industry leading conferences andacross North America and beyond, positioning yourself and the firm as a go to market specialist.
- Meet with clients and brokers, strengthen relationships and provide hands on service.
- Lead negotiations with underwriters to secure terms, coverage, and pricing. Design and deliver competitive programmes for Open Market and /or Delegated Property business
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience from placement through to renewals and claims, supported by a great operational platform.
Skills/Experience
- A minimum of 6 years proven experience in placing US Property business into the Lloyd’s and London markets.
- Possess great connections across the market
- Experience in Binding Authority and/or Open Market property business.
- Commercial acumen, with a strategic mindset and appetite for portfolio growth.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Professionalism and confidence to take ownership and drive results
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to travel
