Senior Financial Controller - #2093788

Our client is a leading trading house seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Controller to assist with overseeing the company’s financial operations and ensure the integrity of its financial reporting.

This position requires a strong understanding of financial management within a trading or commodities environment, with the ability to provide strategic insight and maintain robust internal controls.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and control across the business.
2. Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
3. Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
4. Monitor cash flow, P&L performance, and balance sheet reconciliations.
5. Maintain and enhance internal control frameworks, financial policies, and compliance procedures.
6. Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders as required.
7. Provide financial analysis and support to senior management for decision-making and strategic planning.
8. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

1. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with proven post-qualification experience.
2. Previous experience in a trading, commodities, or financial markets environment.
3. Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial regulations.
4. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
5. Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
