Assistant Management Accountant - #2097816

We’re looking for a proactive finance professional to support a busy month-end and reporting function during a key period of operational activity. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident with management accounts, analysis and core financial controls, with the ability to slot quickly into an established team.

Its a 6 month contract based in South West London with a good opportunity for extension/permanent work.

Responsibilities

• Monthly management accounts - Assisting with accruals, prepayments, journals and variance analysis.
• Financial reporting - Supporting the production of P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow reports.
• Data analysis - Reviewing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies and actionable insights for senior management.
• Budgeting & forecasting - Collaborating with internal teams to gather inputs and support planning cycles.
• Control account reconciliations - Ensure key accounts are accurate, investigated and resolved promptly.
• Invoice & expense accuracy - Maintain clear, accurate records of invoices, payments and expenses.
• Audit preparation - Prepare schedules and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Process improvement - Work with the finance team to streamline workflows and strengthen controls.

Requirements

• Strong grounding in management accounting and month-end processes.
• Confident with Excel and modern finance systems.
• Detail-driven, organised and comfortable working to tight deadlines.
• Able to communicate clearly with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Someone who can hit the ground running in a contract environment.
