BI Product Lead - #2098582

We are recruiting for a BI Product Lead on behalf of a well-respected Lloyd's Market Insurer.

This role will act as the vital bridge between complex data infrastructure and actionable business insights. The successful candidate will lead BI initiatives and activities and own the entire lifecycle of reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Establishing CoE for BAU BI solutions, such as Lloyd’s regulatory reporting, external and internal Audit reporting and Finance Close reporting.
• Supporting the business through standardisation and automation of operational data reporting solutions.
• Ensuring continuous delivery of customised business reporting solutions.
• Supporting the business on troubleshooting data issues, identifying patterns and correlations among the various data sources.
• Collaborating with Data Governance Lead on cross functional data initiatives.
• Contributing to the improvements in data quality by logging quality issues, monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for remediation and enhancement.
• Defining and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data reporting product delivery.
• Navigating diverse priorities across the organisation, managing expectations and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Collaborating with broader IT, Data and Operations teams to build and maintain healthy and supportive working relationships.

Key Requirements

• Experience working within the Lloyd’s Insurance market is essential.
• Proven experience of business analysis and product management.
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to confidently present BI reports at board level.
• Ability to translate business needs into end user requirements.
• Experience of analysing, developing and documenting functional and technical specifications of BI products for development.
• Excellent SQL, Excel and data reporting tools knowledge (such as Power BI or similar), including data reconciliation and transformation.
• Experience of technical project delivery, such as BI products, Data Migration and Cloud Data Warehouse.
• Ability to work with large datasets, and knowledge of data manipulation, interrogation, transformation and import procedures.
• Experience with data loading, ETL / ELT concepts and Big Data tools.
• Possesses a high-level of analytical skills, process automation, problem solving and attention to detail.
• Formal education in data or computer science at a degree level is preferable.
