MRK Talent Solutions are proud to be exclusively partnering with a growing, PE-owned £25M turnover services business in the search for a Head of Finance based in Central London with hybrid working (3 days in the office). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation at an exciting stage of its growth, where you will lead the finance function while becoming a key member of the senior leadership team. As the business continues to invest in its people, systems and processes, you will have the opportunity to shape the future direction of finance, influence commercial decision making and play a pivotal role in supporting the company's ambitious growth plans.

This job would suit an experienced finance all-rounder with both strong technical accounting expertise, good stakeholder management for budgeting and forecasting, and strong leadership experience to be responsible for leading the day-to-day finance function, ensuring robust financial reporting, budgeting, compliance and financial controls. The role will also drive process improvements, develop the function and provide commercial insight to support business decisions and future growth.

Our client is a well-established international services business with the backing of a long-term investment group and ambitious plans for continued expansion. Having invested across the wider business and with several transformation projects underway, they are now looking to strengthen their finance function with a forward-thinking leader who can help shape the next phase of their journey.

The successful individual will be a well-rounded accountant with strong financial control and reporting experience gained within an SME or mid-sized business. You will be a confident people manager who enjoys developing others while creating robust processes and improving the quality of financial information. Experience of systems implementation or finance process improvement would be highly advantageous, alongside the commercial confidence to influence stakeholders across the wider business. Above all, you will be proactive, hands-on and motivated by the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage month-end and year-end reporting, statutory accounts, audit and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and strengthen financial controls, governance and reporting processes across the business.
• Lead and develop the Finance Manager, creating a high-performing finance function.
• Manage payroll, VAT, pensions and wider statutory reporting requirements.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of new finance systems, driving automation and continuous improvement.
• Prepare annual budgets and monthly reports directly to the PE owners and act as a key contact for external auditors.
• Provide commercial support to the leadership team through financial analysis, budgeting and business planning.
• Review customer contracts and commercial terms, providing financial guidance on cash flow, risk and profitability.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and strengthen financial performance.
