This three-month off-cycle internship gives you the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues on meaningful, venture capital activity, shaping the internet and software sectors across the UK, Europe and global markets. You'll build technical skills, contribute to live deals and gain hands-on experience supporting the team across a range of ongoing projects.

What role will you play?

Macquarie Capital's Venture Capital (MCVC) team partners with founders to build great companies within the internet and software sectors. With a 30-year track record of combining expertise and capital to accelerate growth, you'll be part of a team investing in early-stage companies and helping build them into global businesses that make a real-world impact.

As an off-cycle intern, you will contribute to venture capital activity through financial analysis, company valuations, and market research. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll develop technical skills through a range of activities, including preparing investment memos and presentation materials, due diligence on prospective portfolio companies, financial modelling and valuation work for active and potential investments, and sector-specific research to identify emerging trends and investment opportunities.

We are looking to fill internship places from January 2027.

What you offer

  • You are in your final year of university (bachelor's or master's), or have graduated within the last year with an excellent academic record
  • A basic understanding of valuation, accounting, and financial modelling.
  • A strong interest in venture capital.
  • Previous internship experience in venture capital, private equity, M&A, or deal advisory.
  • Clear and confident communication skills with fluency in English; additional European languages would be an advantage
