PEOPLE OPERATIONS LEAD (12-MONTH FIXED-TERM CONTRACT)
Location: City of London (Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office, 2 days a week from
home)
Salary: £70,000-£80,000 plus benefits

Are you an experienced HR generalist who enjoys being close to the business,solving problems and building trusted relationships?
We're partnering with a growing organisation in the energy sector (approximately300 employees ) to recruit a People Operations Lead on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day people function while partnering closely with senior leadership during a period of business evolution and growth.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys balancing operational delivery with strategic business partnering.
You'll work across the full employee lifecycle, support managers with complex people matters and help drive practical HR solutions that enable the business to succeed.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Managing the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding.
* Providing expert guidance on employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters.
* Coaching and supporting managers with sometimes difficult decisions and conversations
* Supporting organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Working closely with senior leaders to deliver commercially focused HR solutions.
* Managing HR processes including contracts, payroll liaison, recruitment approvals and compliance activities.
* Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure an effective people service.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident switching between strategic conversations and operational delivery.
You'll bring:
Proven experience in a broad HR Generalist or People Operations role
Strong Employee Relations experience, including managing complex cases from start to finish
Experience within the energy and/or infrastructure sector, ideally in organisations of approximately 300 employees
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to roll your sleeves up
Confidence working with senior leaders while remaining approachable and collaborative
A solid understanding of UK employment law and its practical application
Experience supporting managers through organisational change
