Operations Change Analyst/Operations Business Analyst

This role is not a traditional Business Analyst position. The successful candidate will have a strong Investment Operations/Middle Office background, combined with experience delivering change, projects and process improvements.

Around £500 p/d (via umbrella)
6 month initial contract
Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite in London

Key Responsibilities

  • Support operational change initiatives across middle office and investment operations.
  • Analyse and improve operational processes, controls and data flows.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives.
  • Develop enhanced reporting and identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency.

Key experience required:

  • Hands-on Investment Operations experience (reconciliations, corporate actions, cash management, NAV, P&L, FX and collateral management).
  • Strong understanding of public market asset lifecycles (equities, bonds, futures and FX forwards).
  • Experience supporting operational change, system enhancements, operating model improvements, new product launches or process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong Excel (VBA) skills and working knowledge of SQL (Python desirable).
  • Good understanding of operational data flows, controls and reconciliations.

Candidates from hedge funds or smaller asset managers could be ideal. With broader operational exposure and greater ownership of change initiatives. This role will suit someone who is inquisitive, solutions-focused and enjoys improving processes.
