The Supply Register is proud to partner with NCG to recruit passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our Further Education Supply Bank, supporting colleges across South London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in education. Whether you're an experienced Learning Support Assistant or come from a background in education, care, or youth support, you'll play a vital role in helping learners overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve their goals.
With flexible opportunities available on a sessional basis, you'll have the freedom to work around your availability while gaining experience across a range of Further Education settings.
About the RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with lecturers and support teams to provide personalised support that enables learners to participate fully in their studies and reach their potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support across a variety of curriculum areas.
- Supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and additional learning needs.
- Assisting lecturers with classroom activities, differentiated learning, and inclusive teaching practices.
- Creating a safe, positive, and encouraging learning environment where every learner feels supported.
- Promoting learner confidence, independence, engagement, and academic progress.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support services, and external professionals to deliver the best possible outcomes for students.

- Experienced Learning Support Assistants.
- Individuals with experience in education, care, youth work, or other learner support roles.

- Experience supporting learners within an educational, care, or support setting.
- An understanding of SEND, additional learning needs, and inclusive support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive, professional relationships with learners and colleagues.
- A patient, adaptable, and learner-centred approach.
- Qualifications in Learning Support, Education, Health & Social Care, or a related field.
- Previous experience within a Further Education environment.
