AMS is the world's leading provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service partner with NatWest to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of NatWest, AMS is seeking a Business Consultant for an initial 6-month contract based in London (hybrid working model).

NatWest is a major UK retail bank, providing every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

Purpose of the Role:

This role will support the delivery of a large-scale wealth management integration programme, focused on identifying and delivering revenue synergies, growth opportunities, cross-selling initiatives, and strategic business value.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to senior business stakeholders, helping shape strategic priorities, drive commercial opportunities, and ensure alignment across multiple business workstreams. This is a highly content-driven role requiring strong analytical thinking, executive-level communication, and the ability to translate strategy into actionable outcomes.

What you'll do:

  • Drive strategic business initiatives focused on growth, revenue generation, cross-selling opportunities, and value creation.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to define priorities, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities for commercial benefit.
  • Coordinate activity across multiple business workstreams, ensuring alignment of objectives, actions, and outcomes.
  • Prepare high-quality executive presentations, strategic papers, analyses, and updates for senior leadership and Group Executive Committees (EXCO).
  • Develop clear, structured content that translates complex business challenges into actionable recommendations.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate cross-functional dependencies, risks, and prioritisation decisions to the appropriate governance forums.
  • Support value tracking, business case development, and benefit realisation activities in partnership with Finance and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain delivery momentum by ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and execution of agreed actions.
  • Act as a strategic sounding board to senior leaders, helping frame options, decisions, and recommendations.

The skills you'll need:

  • Strong experience in business consulting, corporate strategy, business analysis, or strategic transformation roles.
  • Experience delivering growth strategy, revenue generation, commercial opportunities, synergies, or value creation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to partner with and influence senior business stakeholders in complex environments.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience producing executive-level materials and board-quality presentations.
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on role, creating presentations, conducting analysis, and developing strategic content independently.
  • Management consulting experience, ideally followed by experience in a corporate strategy, business strategy, commercial, or growth-focused role.
